WILFREDO BARCELO
Born September 30th 1971.Habana.Cuba.
Studied Painting,Sculpture,Engraving at the Academy of Fine Arts (San Alejandro) in Marianao,Havana,Cuba 1987-1989.
Early school:Elementary School located in (Vedado) as part at the same time of a very importat art movement called (Arte Calle) with 17 years of age.
Casa de la Cultura of Marianao in Havana:Studied music and arts in general.
1989 Barceló left Cuba for political reasons ,with only19 years , travel to Miami.were he still remain an active artist.
1992 Barceló meat Nelson Franco, and starting immediately to work at his studio in little Havana in Miami.
Participaiting at that time in Carnaval Calle Ocho in Miami with (Kiwanis) an Art Organization .
Wilfredo Barcelo collaborated with Nelson Franco and Jessey Rios at many exhibitions in Miami and New York .
in 1989,Wilfredo Barcelo also collaborated with Jose Montalvo in a huge mural inside the University of Cujae in Marianao.Havana,Cuba.
And others activities in la Casa de la Cultura de la Cujae,such as imparting classes of painting and receiving classes at the same time with Jose Montalvo.his mentor at the time.
