Amarilis Veliz Diepa nacio en Las Tunas, 1957. Graduada de la Escuela nacional de Artes de La Habana en 1975. Ha realizado varias exposiciones personales y colectivas en Cuba y en el extranjero entre sus galardones se encuentran el Primer Premio del Concurso del PMA auspiciado por la ONU en 1998. Sus obras también aparecen en publicaciones literarias y algunos polos turísticos cuentan con ambientaciones suyas. Es miembro de la UNEAC y una de las personalidades de la cultura en la provincia.
Amarilis Veliz Diepa, born in Las Tunas, Cuba, on July 25, 1957, graduated from
the National School of Art Cubanacon in Havana. She took postgraduate studies
in industrial design, contemporary art and textiles.

Her works find themselves in private collections in Cuba, USA, Germany, Spain,
Peru, Belgium, Japan and Mexico. Her works hang in the Museum of
Contemporary Art & Historical Museum Grave de Peralta in Las Tunas, Cuba and
Museum Civic Terrachina, Lalina, Italy. She is one of the few artists in the world
whose works are archived at the Vatican, Rome, Italy.
