“Women: It’s All About Us – Portraits of Love and Courage”

La Ciudad de Hialeah nos invito a la inauguración de "Mujeres: Es Todo Sobre Nosotros - Retratos de Amor y Coraje" el viernes, 10 de marzo a las 7 pm el Milander Center for Arts & Entertainment 4800 Palm Avenue, Hialeah, Florida. Esta exposición colectiva de arte rinde homenaje a la grandeza de todas las mujeres en una exposición de arte de un mes de duración con las obras de más de 75 artistas apasionados encargados de celebrar la profunda influencia de las mujeres. Las interpretaciones visuales de este colectivo visitarán los hitos y susurros en el paisaje de las mujeres. Entrada y el estacionamiento es gratis.


The City of Hialeah invited us to the opening reception of “Women: It’s All About Us – Portraits of Love and Courage” on Friday, March 10 at 7 p.m. Milander Center for Arts & Entertainment 4800 Palm Avenue, Hialeah, Florida. This collective art exhibition pays tribute to the greatness of all women in a month-long art exhibit featuring the works of over 75 impassioned artists tasked to celebrate the profound influence of women. The visual interpretations of this collective will visit the milestones and whispers in the landscape of women. Admission and parking are free.

Eliseo Valdes Erustes, Cuban Artist

Eliseo Valdes was born in  Havana, Cuba in 1956.  A graduate of the San Alejandro Academy (1977), he earned an advanced degree from the Superior Institute of Art in 1982. 

A contemporary painter and sculptor, Valdes' work evokes abstract expressionism and surrealism.  With his use of bold colors, abstract geometric shapes and ameoba-like forms, he creates  beautiful pieces that are both technically impressive and visually pleasing.

His paintings and sculptures are exhibited in museums and public art galleries around the world, including Cuba, Venezuela, Mexico, Spain, and Germany.

In addition to his work as painter and sculptor, Valdes works as curator for the Cultural Foundation of Cuba.  Eliseo Valdes is member of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC); member and specialist of the CODEMA National Advisory Board for the Development of the Monumental and Environmental Sculpture). From 1995 to 1998, he was member of the Workshop of Plastic Arts Ruckelshausen INC. of the Bildert Welt Gallery in Hamburg, Germany.
From 1985 to 1988 he exercised as the specialist of the Fund of Cultural Goods in Havana, Cuba.  He has taught different levels of artistic classes for students at National School of Art (ENA) and at “23 and C”  School of Elementary Level , among others.
